So, how is VMPET film produced?
The vacuum metallization of aluminum wire can only be carried out under vacuum conditions. If there is air inside the metalizing machine, oxygen will cause the aluminum wire to burn easily, and may also cause an explosion, because, during the production process, the temperature must be heated to nearly 2000 degrees Celsius, so that the aluminum wire evaporates into aluminum gas, which makes the aluminum gas evenly deposited on the surface of the PET film.
The thickness of the aluminum layer is very thin, only 350-450 Å (1 Å = 10^(-10) m), while the PET film is 12 microns (1 micron = 10^(-6) m)
