What is Polarfoil
Polarfoil is a professional manufacturer focusing on aluminum foil PE lamination. With advanced extrusion lamination technology, we provide single-sided and double-sided PE-coated aluminum foil, and professionally laminate aluminum foil with bubble film, EPE foam (pearl cotton), paper, non-woven fabric and other substrates.

What is Aluminum Foil PE Lamination

Aluminum foil PE lamination (extrusion lamination) is a glue-free composite process. PE particles are melted at high temperature and directly coated and bonded to the aluminum foil surface to form an integrated composite material. The molten PE acts as both an adhesive layer and a functional sealing layer, protecting the aluminum foil while retaining its excellent properties of light shielding, oxygen barrier, moisture resistance and heat reflection.

Applications of Aluminum Foil PE Lamination

Our core advantage lies in the one-piece lamination of aluminum foil with bubble film and EPE pearl cotton. The finished materials combine the heat-reflective and moisture-barrier performance of aluminum foil with the shock-absorbing and cushioning properties of bubble and pearl cotton.
Widely applied in cold chain thermal insulation, fresh food packaging, e-commerce shockproof packaging, precision instrument protection, construction thermal insulation, ventilation duct heat reflection and container moisture-proof insulation. It also serves standard scenarios including food packaging and pharmaceutical packaging.

PE Lamination vs. Glue Lamination

1. Bonding Principle PE lamination: Thermal bonding via molten PE material with no glue. Glue lamination: Bonded with chemical adhesives.
2. Advantages for Bubble & EPE Foam Composite Extrusion lamination achieves integrated molding. The aluminum foil fits tightly with bubble film and pearl cotton, featuring delamination resistance, water vapor resistance and stable thermal & cushioning performance. Glue lamination is prone to glue hydrolysis and delamination in humid environments.
3. Safety Performance PE lamination leaves no solvent residue, ensuring high safety; glue lamination carries potential risks of adhesive component migration.
4. Recyclability PE-laminated materials consist only of aluminum foil and PE with few impurities for easy recycling. Glue-composited materials contain adhesives, making separation and recycling difficult.
5. Production Features PE lamination is ideal for mass production of bubble and EPE foam laminated rolls. Glue lamination offers flexible sampling and suits complex multi-layer structures.
Recommendation: Choose PE extrusion lamination for bubble/EPE composite products if you require delamination resistance, stable thermal & cushioning performance and mass roll production. Select glue lamination for customized multi-layer and small-batch orders.
